Dr. Jennifer So is a second-generation Board Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist (LAc) in California. She grew up apprenticing under her father—the first licensed acupuncturist and clinic owner of the former Corona Acupuncture in Corona and the greater Inland Empire. Inspired by lifelong exposure to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), she saw firsthand how natural medicine could transform lives.
Before pursuing her medical career, Jennifer fulfilled her undergraduate studies at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA), where she was honored with the Chancellor’s Service Award for her dedication to leadership and community service. She worked as a high school science teacher, culinary instructor, and archery coach. During this time, she trained and competed in state and national archery tournaments while juggling multiple jobs. Eventually, chronic health issues and injuries led her back to her roots, where she found lasting healing through TCM.
She went on to earn both her Master of Science (MSAOM) and Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (DAOM) degrees at South Baylo University (SBU), graduating Summa Cum Laude with multiple distinctions, including the President’s Award and recognition for Clinical Excellence. There, she trained under physicians and acupuncturists from around the world—including the United States, Taiwan, Korea, China, Indonesia, and the United Kingdom—learning to integrate Eastern and Western perspectives on medicine.
With more than 15,000 hours of advanced clinical training, Dr. So specializes in Neuro Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine, TCM Nutrition, and Cosmetic Acupuncture. She blends modern diagnostics and clinical research with the time-tested wisdom of Chinese medicine to provide compassionate, whole-person care. Having personally navigated migraines, hormonal acne, and gastrointestinal challenges, she is especially passionate about supporting patients with digestive, skin, and mental health concerns.
A Corona native, Dr. So is a trained disaster volunteer with Corona’s Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). Outside of her private practice, she teaches herbology and trains in archery as a form of meditation. She also volunteers regularly with Acupuncturists Without Borders (AWB), Integrative Healers Action Network (IHAN), and World Central Kitchen (WCK), providing disaster relief, trauma-informed care, and free clinical services for Southern California communities.
