Results and treatment plans
Results can happen instantly, or over the course of treatments. It is imperative to talk with your acupuncturist to go over your problem areas and where you feel like acupuncture might help. Not only will they recommend a treatment plan, but they may offer healthy suggestions for your home life, such as stretching or diet change.
Most patients have felt relief in as little as one visit, however each person as a whole, is unique. Speak to your acupuncturist about any problem areas, as they can recommend other treatments and options! In our Family of Clinics, we have several types of natural treatment options, rest assured that we work as a team to get you the treatment and results you need to feel your best.

Is Acupuncture Care for Me?
-
When you think of acupuncture what is the first thing you think of? I’m guessing it was needles. The truth is that the needles used in acupuncture are so small and thin that most of the time you won’t even feel them. When you do feel one it is very mild. Acupuncture is continuing to gain momentum in the world of mainstream medicine. Its benefits are endless it seems, although it is usually used for patients with pain.
What Should I Expect?

You will want to wear comfortable and loose clothing. This will help with access points such as hands, feet, legs, and arms. The session starts by discussing your medical history, your family medical history, symptoms and what you hope to achieve with acupuncture. This will help us decide what access point to use during your session. It only takes 5-10 minutes to put all the needles in. You will typically lay there for 30-60 minutes. Sometimes this is under a heat lamp. Most patients become so relaxed and comfortable that they fall asleep. This is OK and is actually encouraged. Most patient report feeling relaxed, rested, and comfortable even after the first visit. You will want to try it again. Most treatment plans begin with 5 sessions. This gives you a good gauge to decide if acupuncture is working for you.
