Location: Ashland Clinic
Kayla grew up on the northern coast of California where the ocean and redwoods collide. Having grown up amongst the redwood forests, Kayla developed a deep appreciation for the power of plants and it is through this lens she found her passion for herbalism and traditional Chinese Medicine. From a young age, she knew she wanted to pursue natural and complementary medicine. During her education, she focused strongly on functional anatomy, Western and Eastern herbalism, and dietary therapy.
In 2014 Kayla completed the massage therapy program, along with her undergraduate degree, from Rogue Community College in Medford, OR. She then continued on to Portland, OR to pursue her Master’s degree at Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, which she graduated from in 2018.
In May of 2020, she graduated with her Doctorate (DACM) from the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine in San Francisco, CA with a focus on research and the treatment of cancer with traditional Chinese medicine.
Kayla specializes in musculoskeletal pain and has clinical experience working with concussions/traumatic brain injuries, neurological disorders, autoimmune disorders, diabetes, and cancer support. Additionally, she strongly believes in food therapy and loves meeting patients where they are at to adjust their dietary and lifestyle habits to reach their goals, whether it be for weight management or health.
When not at work, she enjoys adventuring to new places and loves to learn about the traditional healing practices of the local people. When she isn’t adventuring abroad she can be found weight training, walking with her two dogs, ballroom and Latin dancing, or taking in the beauty at a local winery.
